Cultural Recreation Advisory Board

The Cultural Recreation Advisory Board (CRAB) was established in 2003 to advise the City Council on cultural and recreational programs, special events, parks, and the operation of recreation facilities either owned by the City or operated through a use agreement. 

The Cultural Recreation Advisory Board makes recommendations regarding programs including; Westlake Village Discovers, Westlake Entertains, Westlake Village Seniors, and more. You do not have to be a Cultural Recreation Advisory Board member to serve on a sub-committee or volunteer at programs and events. 

Membership:

The Cultural Recreation Advisory Board consist of a minimum of 9 adult members and one youth member, a sophomore in high school. The Board shall not exceed a maximum of 15 members. There may be more than one youth member if appointed by the City Council. All Board members shall reside within the City limits of Westlake Village. Members shall not be officers or employees of the City. The appointments shall be made by the City Council. All members, returning and new shall serve a two-year term.

Meetings are scheduled as needed.  2023 Meeting schedule:

March 2;  April 6; May-No Meeting; June 1; July-No Meeting; August - No Meeting/Council Recess; September 7; October 5; November-No Meeting; December-TBD
