Robert Slavin was elected for a four-year term to serve as a member of the Westlake
Village City Council on November 6, 2001, and took his oath
of office December 4, 2001. Bob was subsequently selected in December 2003
by the City Council to serve as Mayor for calendar year 2004. In December, 2005, Bob was appointed to his second four-year term, and in November 2007 Bob was selected to serve as Mayor Pro Tem. In December of 2008, Bob was selected by the City Council to serve his second term as Mayor, and in November, 2009, Bob was appointed to his third four-year term. Bob is an attorney and principal of Assessment Counselling Services
located in Thousand Oaks. He represents taxpayers before state
& local jurisdictions, primarily with property-tax related
matters. He received his bachelors degree from California State
University, Northridge, and his jurist doctorate degree at George
Mason University School of Law, Arlington, Virginia. He regularly
teaches courses in property taxation throughout the state of
California. |
