[ARCHIVED] Be Ready for Rain... Sand and Sandbags Available for Residents

As with every rain storm, residents are urged to keep an eye on their properties and stay prepared, especially near burned areas. Sand and sandbags are available for residents to pick up at the Westlake Village Civic Center behind the library located at 31200 Oak Crest Drive, Westlake Village, 91361 and Los Angeles County Fire Station 144, located at 31981 Foxfield Drive, Westlake Village, 91361. Limited assistance filling sandbags may be available at the fire station when personnel are present but not at the Civic Center; however, please bring your own shovel just in case.

Should sand not be available at Fire Station 144, residents may also visit Los Angeles County Fire Station 89, located at 29575 Canwood Street, Agoura Hills, 91301.

Additional sandbag locations may be found by visiting: http://dpw.lacounty.gov/dsg/sandbags/
