[ARCHIVED] Westlake Village Celebrates Our Planet this April

Earth Day Heart

The City of Westlake Village invites you to celebrate our planet this April with three separate events throughout the month. We will host the Wishbone Trail Clean-Up on Saturday, April 15th, an Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 22nd, and our Bi-Annual Shred Event on Saturday, April 29th.  

Wishbone Trail Clean-Up

Saturday, April 15, 2023, 9:00AM-12:00PM: Join the City of Westlake Village, in partnership with Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency, to clean-up and preserve our very own Wishbone Trail at the Westlake Village Community Park. There will be light hiking and lifting. Please come prepared with gloves; other tools provided. Children under the age of 13 must have a parent or guardian present. Registration is required and spots are limited. Visit www.WLV.org/EarthDay to register by Sunday, April 9, 2023.

Earth Day Festival

Saturday, April 22, 2023, 5:00PM-9:00PM: Meet local non-profit groups and learn more about conservation efforts and what you can do to invest in our planet. Bring your own reusable water bottle and fill up at the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District tent! First 100 guest to fill up will receive a gift from the City. The festival is free and open to the public. Groups and activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Wall-E Screening at sundown
  • Free Sunset Yoga with Proactive Sports
  • Earth friendly craft with Create Studios
  • Plant giveaway with the North Santa Monica Bay Watershed
  • Agoura Animal Care Center Meet N’ Greet
  • Waste Management Demo
  • Face Painting, Games & Food Trucks
  • &  more!

Bi-Annual Shred Event

Saturday, April 29, 2023, 9:00AM-1:00PM: Come to Westlake Village City Hall and bring up to four boxes or bags of paper for shredding at the Bi-Annual Shred Event. While supplies last, you can also pick up a free tabletop trash can and food waste bucket for your household. This event is in partnership with Waste Management and is open to residents of Westlake Village. This event will occur one more time in 2023; date to be announced.
