Councilmember Kelly Honig

Kelly Honig was elected to a four-year term of office on the Westlake Village City Council on November 3, 2015, and took her oath of office on November 18, 2015.  Kelly was appointed on December 4, 2019 to serve as Mayor in 2020. In December 2020 Kelly was appointed to her second 4-year term. 

Kelly received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Relations from the University of California, Davis, and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Kelly is a member of the state bars of California and Nebraska. Kelly practiced law for 13 years in the Los Angeles area and also taught Business Law and Criminal Law and Procedure at Oxnard College for two years. Kelly also worked as the Development Director for St. Patrick’s Day School in Thousand Oaks.

Kelly served as a member of the City’s Cultural Recreation Advisory Board for eight years, and also served on the Campaign Steering Committee and the Communications subcommittee for the planning and eventual construction of the new Westlake Village Community Park. Kelly, her husband Keith and their two children, Charles and Meredith have lived in Westlake Village since 2001.
